Daily Proverb - Proverbs, Chapter 16

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed"

Imagine, have you ever realized that you can have plans that bring about success?  Oh it is true, God wants you to succeed but it is conditional!  You must "Commit to the Lord", yes commit to the Lord your plans.  If you are willing, you will see that God will open doors and you will have success!   I am not trying teach the health & wealth message!  You hear some people talk about how God wants you to have it all, the big boat, the huge house and fancy car.  That isn't what this verse is all about!  Success, real success is defined in the pages of the Word of God!   If your heart is interested in living a life to please the Lord, get ready for great success.  It may not be success as the world sees it but more importantly, as God sees it!

"The Lord works out everything for his own ends-even the wicked for the day of disaster"

Oh yes, the wicked have plans too, but their plans lead to disaster!  I don't know if I ever came across a man who wanted disaster in his own life.  I have encountered a few that look like that is what they want.  They go about causing others grief, thinking it will lead to success.  How did this happen, where did these awful ideas come from?  Some might say, the devil made um do it and maybe there is some truth to that, some have been deceived by the master deceiver.  Satan does appear as a lamb dressed in a lambs clothing, but inside he is a wolf, an animal who wants to cause pain.  He obviously believes this is right and will bring success, why else would he do what he does.  He is an example of good gone bad.  He lives, has been fooled and has fooled many.  Turn to the living God and find true success!  Why be amongst "the wicked for the day of disaster"?

"Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord"
